Our BBC correspondent recently reported from earthquake ravaged L’Aquila in Italy where he witnessed the extent of devastation to this picturesque and ancient town. on April 6, 2009, at 01:32 GMT an earthquake of 6.3 magnitude struck central Italy with its epicentre near L’Aquila.
