Urban zones are sprouting knitted or crocheted overlays, embedded with Arduino open-source electronics for interactive creations. MsBehaviour says that  independent filmmakers, musicians and other creative types are harnessing communities of fans to microfinance, or ‘Crowdfund’ their creative projects. There are many tools on the web that facilitate that but one in particular that is looking rather exciting is a crowdfunding community called Kickstarter.
